The Perfect Father’s Day: A Complete List
There's no need to spend lots of money on flashy gifts when what he really wants is to spend time together.
As you consider what you might do for dear old dad, here are some fun, (mostly) free Father's Day activities, like exploring the outdoors or cooking dinner together. Just remember whether he'd enjoy a one-on-one activity or just wants to kick back and relax, you can have a meaningful day together with just a little thought and planning.

Also, an event that Devon particularly enjoys (or is it her other half that enjoys it) either way, the Hyannis Car Show is a blast for everyone. Held on Main Street in Hyannis.
The Greater Hyannis Chamber of Commerce (on Cape Cod) will be holding the Annual Main Street Father’s Day Car Show on Father’s Day.
Sunday, June 18, 2023 from 8:30am-2pm. AND IT’S FREE!
Over 350 cars are expected to participate in this year’s event (pre-1998). They have had crowds estimated at over 60,000, making this show one of the best attended family auto events in New England and again, it’s free for all to attend!
Devon is not the only big fan of this beloved event, it’s a community favorite. Former attendees have raved about the Hyannis Car Show. One attendee said, "Great collection of cars and trucks! The entire Main Street is filled with all kinds for your viewing pleasure." And everyone agrees, Great time, lots of cars, and great food too!
Does your dad enjoy a nice cold beer or a craft beer? Take him out to a brewery and enjoy some homemade beer together. Jack’s Abbey is highly recommended in Framingham they serve award winning craft beers. And its one of Devon’s favorites too.
Lookout Farm in Natick. They feature some excellent hard ciders and several craft beers including an IPA called Hold your Horses. They even have live entertainment.
And, as we featured before: Trillium Beer Garden on the Greenway in Boston. We believe any beer-loving dad will be pleased. Some of the BEST beer we’ve had.
Homemade gifts are often hard to beat, spend some time putting selected special pictures together, have the grandchildren make drawings for dad. And whatever you do, let him know how much you appreciate him simply by the love and kindness you show him all year long. Then every day is Father’s Day!
