Top Boston Christmas Events

Beacon Hill is home to some of the most beautiful and quaint buildings in all of Boston and its one of Devon’s favorites. The Cobblestone streets are lined by beautiful brownstones that Boston is most well- known for. During the Beacon Hill Holiday Stroll, visitors are welcome to walk through the neighborhood and some of the best shops anywhere! Children can stop by and visit Santa, while adults can enjoy the refreshments and festive treats. There are carriage rides available which only adds to the ambiance of Christmas in Boston! On our last carriage ride, we played the song Christmas in Boston. What a fantastic Christmas memory. Cheers to you and yours!

Another of Devon’s Favorite Events is The Boston Common Holiday Tree Lighting. This year (2022) it’s Thursday, December 1, at 7:55pm This exciting event takes place near the Visitors Information Center on Tremont St and stars the special tree sent as a gift from Nova Scotia Boston Mayor Michelle Wu will be joined by Santa Claus, Rudolph, and members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Refreshments, music, and entertainment will be provided by local groups. The event starts at 6pm and ends at 8pm with a pyrotechnic display. Lights on the tree - about 7,000 of them - go on at about 7:55 pm, followed by lights on 80+ other trees throughout the Common and the Public Garden. When the weather is reasonably good, about 25,000 spectators turn out for this festive event. When the Mayor turns on the lights, Boston's magical holiday season officially begins! See you there!
