WE want to remind you that it is the season of Giving! And, it’s all about giving back. Here at These Days with Devon we find it brings us pure comfort and joy to share what we have with those who may not have as much. Some of the charities we donate our time and resources to, are:

Horizon’s for Homeless Children Their mission is to improve the lives of young homeless children in Massachusetts and help their families succeed by providing high-quality early education opportunities for play, and comprehensive family support services. Their goal is that every homeless child will have the opportunity to learn, play, and thrive.

Pie in the Sky Pie in the Sky is “The World’s Greatest Bake Sale,” now in its 30th year. Every fall, dozens of Boston-based bakers, caterers, and restaurants donate their finest Apple, Pecan, and Pumpkin pies to Community Servings, which are then sold for $30 (each) by an army of 400+ Pie Sellers. Buyers pick up their freshly-baked pies a few days before Thanksgiving and enjoy them at gatherings over the next few days. The generosity of our bakers and volunteer sellers fuels our mission of providing lovingly scratch-made and nutritious meals to neighbors too sick to shop and cook for themselves and their families. For every pie sold, we’ll provide a week’s worth of meals to a food and nutrition-insecure neighbor in need.

There are so many more ways to give back and help others! Like the Turkey Trots, from Newburyport to the North End and in-between. It’s a great way to stay healthy and give back! Free tee-shirts, prizes, and pies too! Here’s the scoop
