Wineries

Wineries provide an opportunity to explore the art and science of winemaking, learn about different grape varieties, and appreciate the skill and dedication of winemakers. Additionally, visiting a winery allows you to immerse yourself in the local terroir, or the environmental factors that influence wine production, such as soil, climate, and topography. This can deepen your understanding and appreciation of wine while providing a relaxing and enjoyable experience in a picturesque setting. The love for wine stems from its ability to evoke pleasure, stimulate the senses, and create memorable experiences, making it a beloved beverage for many people around the world. From French Bordeaux, and Italian Borolo, to California Rose and Cab’s, we thoroughly enjoy the pleasure of sipping this wonderful beverage....in moderation of course.

These are just a few of the top wineries in Massachusetts, each offering a unique experience and a taste of local wine culture. Here is another Vineyard Devon wanted us to include:

Zorvino Vineyards - Sandown, New Hampshire

This is a family-owned-and-operated winery that began as a hobby. Jim and Cheryl Zanello purchased the 80-acre lot in 2000 after retiring, planted a few vines in their new backyard, and spent time building projects in the woodshop. Four years later, Zorvino Vineyards was established. The “Zor” in Zorvino comes from the origin of their family name, Zorzanello, and “vino” is Italian for wine. Talk about a great pairing!

During Zorvino Vineyard’s start, they planted 150 cold-climate vines that were mostly hybrid. They have since expanded to roughly 2500 vines onsite. They offer more than forty different wines including reds, whites, fruits, blends, bubbles, and dessert wines. They are most widely known for their 100% fruit wines and unique Z lab creations but have a wine for every preference. Looking to stop by for a relaxing wine moment? Zorvino Vineyards offers a friendly and inviting experience, so don’t be intimidated about trying wine—they make it fun and informative! Learn more by clicking here.

And, for anyone planning a wedding who also likes wine....Nestled in the heart of Southern New Hampshire, Zorvino Vineyards serves as an intimate New England setting for your romantic wedding. Their handcrafted post-and-beam venue is truly a one-of-a-kind structure that accommodates up to 200 guests with an inviting and rustic ambiance that is sure to wow your guests.
