The What-the-Fluff Festival
The What the Fluff Festival is an annual celebration held in Somerville, Massachusetts, dedicated to Marshmallow Fluff, a beloved New England treat invented by Archibald Query in 1917. The festival, first organized in 2006, pays homage to this sweet spread and the famous Fluffernutter sandwich, a nostalgic favorite made with peanut butter and Fluff. Each year, the event features a variety of quirky activities, including fluff-themed games, cooking contests, live music, and performances by the "Flufferettes." The festival is known for its whimsical and playful atmosphere, drawing thousands of visitors to Union Square to enjoy the unique local culture and innovation of Somerville.
