Wölffer Estate Vineyard is a prominent and acclaimed winery: their wines have received numerous awards and accolades from wine critics and competitions. Their rosé wines, in particular, have garnered a loyal following and critical praise. They CALL IT SUMMER IN A BOTTLE!

 

History and Background: Wölffer Estate Vineyard was founded in 1988 by Christian Wölffer, a German-born businessman and visionary who sought to create a world-class winery in the Hamptons.

The Grounds: The estate is situated on a picturesque 175-acre property in the heart of the Hamptons, an area known for its scenic beauty and upscale charm.

 

The Wine Stand!

Perched atop a slight rise, the charming Wölffer Estate Wine Stand has become the place to be on Friday and Saturday nights and is a popular pitstop on the way to the beach or home to the city. Offering all Wölffer wines and ciders or for purchase to-go, the Wine Stand has a casual ambiance with a spectacular view of the vineyard and breathtaking sunsets. Savor the wines and watch the sun sink behind the vineyard.

Programs & Offerings

Art Exhibitions: SAC hosts a variety of rotating art exhibitions featuring works by local, national, and international artists. These exhibitions cover a wide range of mediums and styles, providing a platform for contemporary art.

Performances: The center offers live performances, including music concerts, theater productions, dance performances, and more. These events showcase both established and emerging artists.

This July features: live celebrity autobiography on July 12, live Jazz Fest July 13, on July 15 through the 19th there is a kids Junior film camp for any budding filmmakers. On Thursday, July 18 will be a screening of the film Apollo 13 and on Friday, July 19 they’ll have the art and soul cultural experience, culinary tasting, sipping and live entertainment. And on Thursday, July 25 at 730 there is a screening of the beloved film Shrek!

Sam Moyer at Parrish Art Museum

June 30th – September 29th, 2024

Sam Moyer will present new work across three galleries to showcase her relationship to material and light, featuring a large-scale stone painting tailor-fit to the architecture of the Museum gallery and sculptural photographs. The Sam Moyer exhibition is made possible, in part, thanks to the generous support of The Deborah Buck Foundation, Linda Hackett and Melinda Hackett/ CAL Foundation, a donor who wishes to remain anonymous, The Evelyn Toll Family Foundation, Herman Goldman Foundation, and Yanina and Allan Spivack.

We Marvel at Carvel! Dev wanted us to be sure we mentioned Carvel Ice-Cream. Their ice-cream cakes are epic and a crowd pleaser! Stop by for some homemade fudge too. And any time is a good time for Ice-Cream that is why they are open till midnight! Dev assures us this is the BEST Fudge. She suggests you try the Whale Cakes and Mint Delight. Tate’s Bake Shop

Tate's Bake Shop, located in Southampton, New York, is renowned for its delectable baked goods, especially its famous chocolate chip cookies. Founded by Kathleen King, Tate's has grown from a local favorite to a nationally recognized brand. This bake shop in Southampton has a charming, rustic feel, with a cozy interior and friendly staff. It's a great place to enjoy a coffee and a sweet treat.

Kathleen King started baking cookies at a young age, selling them at her father's farm stand. In 1980, she opened her first bakery, and in 2000, Tate's Bake Shop was established.

 

Tate's has grown significantly since its founding, becoming a beloved brand across the United States. The bakery's cookies are now available in grocery stores nationwide. Nothing like the real thing!

The Fudge Company

Stop by for some homemade fudge (Devon assures us it’s the BEST). Founded in 1973, this fudge and ice cream shop has been serving Southampton for over 50 years.  Located next to Ralph’s, an old-school barber shop, you can make a day for you and the boys for a fresh trim and some local sweets!

Publick House

Spacious hangout features a range of house made brews & classic bar fare in a lively atmosphere. And if you are there on a Sunday, check out their jazz brunch. The Publick house has always had some of the best beers, great outside seating, and close to the park. The beer (still great) is now in limited release due to their move to Jobs Lane.

 

Sant Ambroeus

A popular, elegant Italian eatery serving refined dishes, plus panini, gelati & espresso, in an airy setting.

Indulge in authentic Italian in the Hamptons 75 Main. Here they know Devon by name and you will always see someone famous (like Dev)!

 

Il Pellicano & Bijoux

Located within the new Harpoon House Hotel, serves a gorgeous array of seafood with Italian flare. The interior is like a breath of fresh air, you won’t want to miss it! This spot is brand new, opening in May of 2024!

 

Southampton Social Club

An upscale eatery that is always up-to-date on the latest trends. The scenery is farm-meets-class, and the food is always spectacular and unexpected. They even have live music! This is one of the most popular social scenes in the area.

 

Bamboo Southampton

The best Asian food and sushi in the Hamptons! Locals say it is their favorite happy hour in the area. The food is fresh, tasty, and sure to have you coming back for seconds!

Cooper’s Beach

 

We Call It “Heavenly Beach”

Coopers Beach in Southampton, New York, is one of the most beautiful and popular beaches in the Hamptons. About the Museum

The Southampton History Museum and the Thomas Halsey Homestead Silver Shop offer a fascinating glimpse into the rich history and cultural heritage of Southampton, New York.

For over 125 years, the Southampton History Museum has been preserving and promoting the shared history and culture of Southampton. Established in 1898 and incorporated in 1910, the museum currently operates four separate heritage sites. These sites feature 14 historic structures with changing exhibitions, an archives and research center, and educational programs for school children, families, and adults.

 

The Museum’s Key Attractions Include:

 

Halsey House

Built circa 1683 by Thomas Halsey Jr., the son of pioneer Thomas Halsey Sr., the Halsey House is one of the oldest English Colonial houses in New York State. It has been restored and is open to the public as a museum, providing visitors with a glimpse into colonial life.

 

Their Annual Gala

Attend their annual Gala (this year it is Saturday, July 6th): Celebrate local history, culture, and summer at the Halsey House Gala! Their guest of honor, Chuck Scarborough, is marking a milestone of 50 years at WNBC this year! Join them to celebrate Chuck Scarborough's many contributions to American journalism and Southampton as part of the Lake Agawam Conservancy. 

Spend an evening on the grounds of one of the oldest dwellings in New York State while dancing under the stars to live music. Enjoy a selection of exquisite hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and a raw bar stocked with local oysters.

Pelletreau Silver Shop

Located at 80 Main Street, the Pelletreau Silver Shop is the oldest continuously operated trade shop in the Americas. Built in 1686, it became the silver shop of Elias Pelletreau in 1750. Pelletreau was a renowned silversmith and an active patriot during the American Revolution. Today, the shop continues to function as a silversmith workshop and museum, where visitors can see demonstrations of traditional silversmithing techniques and view a collection of historical silver pieces.

How to Get to Southampton: Advice from the Expert!

 

Southampton Ferry

The Bridgeport-Port Jefferson Ferry or the Orient Point-New London Ferry are two options that can get you close to Southampton on Long Island. And Dev tells us they have the best boats. From there, you would need to drive or take another form of transportation to reach Southampton.
