Hermit Woods Winery & Eatery

A Top Winery Dev (and the critics) suggest: Hermit Woods Winery & Eatery, USA Today's Reader's Pick for America's fourth best tasting room, is a small boutique winery, cidery, meadery, and Eatery in downtown Meredith NH. They craft a wide variety of wines from local fruit (organic when possible) and raw honey in a classic European style. When you join them for a tasting, they do their best to make your time with them both enjoyable and educational. They will share their knowledge about the wine and the wine-making process. Located right in the heart of the Mills Falls Marketplace, this inn offers a blend of classic New England charm with modern amenities. It's a short walk from Lake Winnipesaukee, and the rooms are cozy, some featuring fireplaces and lake views. Devon has stayed here.

Amenities: The inn offers access to the on-site Cascade Spa, indoor pool, and beautiful walking trails around the lake. It’s also connected to the marketplace, which is perfect for shopping and dining.

 

Church Landing at Mill Falls

This waterfront resort offers luxurious accommodations with beautiful views of Lake Winnipesaukee. Church Landing is known for its rustic elegance, featuring lakefront rooms with balconies, fireplaces, and Adirondack-style decor.

Amenities: Guests can enjoy the full-service Cascade Spa, indoor and outdoor pools, and a private beach area. The resort also offers boat rentals and is a short walk from the Mills Falls Marketplace. Dev stayed here as well, and tells us she likes this building the best! They even have pet-friendly rooms available.

Housing three separate galleries within a common space, artists, and co-owners Vynnie Hale, Paul Moreau and John Ferreira are the featured artists. They have joined forces to expand upon the idea that Hale began ten years ago. The then-new gallery owner soon became a destination for artists, art-lovers and visitors looking for art that showcased the Lakes Region.

 

VIDA at the Lake

Dev found this hidden gem for Mexican food after walking by and seeing folks on the porch. She was surprised by such big portions and the freshness of everything. The staff was so kind. They offer a variety of foods from salads to tacos to tamales. She says its one of the best restaurants in Meredith. The rice and beans were perfect fluffiness and consistency. Rated a must try in Meredith.

A fantastic record store that's a must-visit for any music enthusiast. We explored their website and it's undeniably cool. Whether you're nostalgic for the classic sound of vinyl or just discovering it, this shop has something for everyone. The vibe is as groovy as the records themselves. This license is essential for the possession or transportation of marine finfish for personal use. One of our favorites stops in Meredith is the Old Country Store:  A never to be forgotten shopping experience.  This throwback has everything from penny candy to kitchenware, soaps, and gadgets!
