Farm Stands of MA

Devon loves Farm Stands, and so do we! Farm stands are vital components of the local food system, representing fresh and seasonal eating, support for local and sustainable agriculture, and a strong sense of community. They offer us the opportunity to purchase high-quality produce, engage with local farmers, and participate in environmentally friendly practices. Additionally, farm stands serve as educational and cultural hubs, enriching the community and preserving agricultural traditions.

Tangerini's Farm Stand - Millis, MA

Open Daily 9am-7pm featuring Tangerini's Own produce and other local products.

Tangini's Farm Stand is a beloved local farm stand offering a variety of fresh, locally grown produce, as well as other farm products and seasonal items.

Their slogan is something for everyone. We love Tangerini’s. They even have Christmas Trees during the season. It’s a lively and fun place with yummy ice-cream too. Fun for the whole family! This farm stand is family-operated, emphasizing quality and locally sourced products. We’ve been to Tangerini’s and they do live up to their motto: There really is something for everyone!!

 

Smolack Farm - North Andover, MA

Smolak Farms is a well-known family-owned farm located in North Andover. It’s a working farm that combines agriculture, education, and entertainment in a unique way!

For 50 years, Michael Smolak has overseen the farm and expanded it into a community staple.
They welcome you to come visit and enjoy the Smolak experience! They feature summer dinners, children’s programs, fresh flowers and more.

The farm stand sells a variety of fresh produce, baked goods, and specialty items. Their cider donuts and pies are particularly popular.

This summer is the season for berry picking and enjoying the farm's outdoor spaces. The farm also hosts summer camps and educational programs for children. They are open daily from seven to six

 

Wilson Farms - Lexington, MA

Wilson Farm is a well-known and beloved farm located in Lexington, Massachusetts. Established in 1884, it has grown to become a popular destination for fresh produce, flowers, baked goods, and a variety of other farm products.

Wilson Farm is a wonderful destination for those looking to enjoy fresh, locally grown produce, gourmet foods, and seasonal activities, all while supporting a historic family-owned business in Lexington, Massachusetts.  And last time we were there, their cookie of the month was chocolate chip toffee shortbread!!! That is worth a trip to the farm!

Upcoming Events: Farm Tours July 11th and 25th And, Each June they have their famous Dinner in the Field... Farm to table at its finest! Devon went this year and already booked for June 2025!

 

Russell Orchards - Ipswich, MA

Russell Orchards in Ipswich, Massachusetts, offers a variety of highlights and activities that make it a popular destination for both locals and visitors. Here are some of the key attractions: The views are spectacular and there is something for everyone. You can pick your own, visit the bakery, and even visit the barnyard; it features a range of animals, including goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, and more. It's a great attraction for children and animal lovers. Visitors can feed some of the animals and learn about them. They even have a winery!

 

Wards Berry Farm - Sharon, MA

And, freshly made smoothies and juices are available, highlighting the farm’s produce and for those with will power who are able to resist the baked goods! 

 

Appleton Farms - Ipswich & Hamilton, MA

Appleton Farms, located in Ipswich and Hamilton, Massachusetts, is one of the oldest continuously operating farms in the United States. Managed by The Trustees of Reservations, Appleton Farms offers a variety of attractions and activities for visitors.

A Historic Farm: Established in 1638, Appleton Farms has a rich history and has been preserved as a working farm for centuries.

Architecture: Visitors can explore historic buildings, including the Old House and the Appleton Farmhouse, which reflect the farm's long history.

 

The farm stand offers fresh, locally grown produce, meats, dairy products, and other farm-related goods. It’s a great place to buy seasonal produce and farm-made products.

Appleton Farms also has horse and buggy rides. 

 

Barker’s Farm - North Andover, MA

Land’s Sake Farm - Weston, MA

Land's Sake Farm in Weston, Massachusetts, is a vibrant community farm that integrates sustainable agriculture, education, and community engagement. July 11th - Live music from Kyle Harris and food from Dumpling Daughter & Heirloom.

July 18th - Live music from The Ways & Means Committee with a food truck from Ya Mother’s Food Truck n’ Kitchen.

July 25th - Live music from the Passive Aggressives with food from Mamaleh’s

Plus pick your own peas in the month of July and attend flower arranging workshops on select Wednesdays and Saturdays from July - October.

 

Land's Sake Farm runs summer camps and vacation programs where children can learn about farming, nature, and the environment through hands-on activities.

Youth Internships: The farm provides opportunities for teenagers to work on the farm and gain experience in agriculture and environmental stewardship.

 

Land’s Sake Farm has a brand new farm stand which just opened in June of 2024!
