Cozy Music Venues
Here at These Days with Devon we think of everything so you don’t have to. Devon wanted us to make sure we let you know about some of Boston’s intimate music venues. And what better month than March (when the weather is not so perfect, yet just right for sitting close to your beloved or your bestie and listening to some great music).
Boston has a vibrant music scene with a variety of venues that host live performances. To discover intimate music events, you might want to explore smaller clubs, cafes, or acoustic venues. Some well-known venues in Boston that often host smaller and more intimate performances include:

Further away but still VERY COZY:
The Press Room (77 Daniel St, Portsmouth, NH): The Press Room is a popular venue in downtown Portsmouth known for its live music, including jazz. It has a cozy and intimate atmosphere, making it a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
Also in Portsmouth: Jimmy’s Jazz and Blues Club: Jimmy’s is intimate, cool, and swanky. It’s worth the extra drive. They feature top name acts in a first-class venue. They even have a super Sunday Jazz Brunch: Bop over to Jimmy’s for coffee, cocktails/mimosas and culinary delights – plus generous helpings of culture and great conversation. And when you do, be sure to prepare yourself for a special experience at 135 Congress Street – a landmark 1905 meeting hall lovingly restored to serve the community as a world-class center for the arts and an intimate space to savor extraordinary sounds and tantalizing flavors. Jimmy’s Sunday Jazz Brunch with live entertainment runs through April 28, 24
And speaking of Jazz we must tell you about Sculler’s Jazz Club, 400 Soldier’s Field Road in Cambridge. We love Scullers and it’s close to home. Jazz & soul legends & new talent occupy a small stage at thisintimate supper club with river views. One of our favorite places to kick back and enjoy the sounds.
