A Classic Recipe for Christmas Cookies:

Ingredients:

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

3 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

Optional Add-Ins:

1 cup chocolate chips or chunks

1 cup chopped nuts (such as pecans or walnuts)

Festive sprinkles or colored sugar for decorating

Directions:

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with  parchment paper.

Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened  butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Add Egg and Vanilla: Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour,  baking powder, and salt.

Mix Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet  ingredients, mixing until a soft cookie dough forms.

Optional Add-Ins: If using chocolate chips, nuts, or any other add-ins, fold them into  the cookie dough until evenly distributed.

Form Cookies: Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into  balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheets, leaving some space between each  cookie.

Flatten and Decorate: Use the back of a fork or your fingers to gently flatten each  cookie. Decorate with festive sprinkles or colored sugar.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly  golden. Be careful not to overbake to keep the cookies soft.

Cool: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before  transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

Enjoy: Once cooled, enjoy your delicious Christmas cookies with a glass of milk or  your favorite festive beverage! We suggest warm yummy Egg-nog....

Feel free to get creative with the shapes and decorations. Happy baking!

This company has everything gingerbread! Started by a husband-and-wife team making gingerbread houses in their basement since the creation of its online store, The Gingerbread Construction Company has expanded its customer base to include the entire US! Dev’s Delectable Winter Trend

HOT COCOA BOMBS: Hot chocolate bombs are available to buy in a variety of flavors and make great gifts any time of the year. They are super popular at Christmas and often sell out well in advance of the big day!

See our favorite spots to shop for Hot Cocoa Bombs:

Cake Pops, Boston: Enjoy a magical experience with hand crafted hot chocolate bombs. Combine in your favorite mug with hot milk and watch as the decadent shell melts away to reveal a perfect cocoa powder and mini marshmallow mixture. One of Dev and Henry’s holiday faves! We cannot wait to try them.

This delectable winter trend can also be found at Sweet Mazie’s. It’s no surprise that  food trends have become an obsession for many people. While there have been  some wacky winter treats trending, hot cocoa bombs are one we hope will last.  While many local chocolatiers and bakers are whipping up these bombs as fast as  they can to meet the demand, a small bakery called Sweet Mazie’s in Arlington just  might have the best in the state. This little bakeshop may not have a brick and  mortar yet, but you can place an order and try one of their outstanding hot cocoa  bombs. With tons of flavors to try, you’ll want to get in on the winter hot cocoa  bomb trend with a local order from Sweet Maizie’s before it’s old news!

Dev suggests to also try INDULDGE IN NEWTON for their HOT CHOCOLATE BOMBS!
