Getting Ready for Winter during Wartime Saturday, September 6th, 10a.m-4p.m.

Come visit with this group of living historians as they interpret daily life in a New England town grappling with divided loyalties to the Patriot cause and the King. Discover what life was like for women and children in an 18th-century town during the early days of the American Revolution and learn about the events unfolding in Deerfield in September 1775.

“Do not neglect your music,” Thomas Jefferson wrote his daughter. “It will be a companion which will sweeten many hours of life to you.” Works that would have been heard in 1775 across four capital cities. Composers include Billings, Arne, JC Bach, Barsanti, Cervetto, Baltzar, Lanzetti, Haydn, & Mozart.
